I just don’t say this often enough, but

…go to Confession and take the children (who’ve made first Confession).

If you’ve been within the last couple months, yes, go confess again.

If you’ve been within the last year or so, ’bout time to confess again.

If you’ve been within the last five years or so, get thee to the box. And so on.

It is a gift, this Sacrament, and as this one priest said to me a few years back, it’s cheaper than the therapist and guaranteed by Christ.
